Assembly Supervisor

KayPENTAX, a division of PENTAX Medical Company, is the World Leader in Speech, Voice, and Swallowing Instrumentation. KayPENTAX produces medical instruments and instrumentation that are electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer based.  Its largest product lines are customized and assembled-to-order systems.  It also has a line of make to stock products.  Because of double digit growth in sales and profits over past 3 years, KayPENTAX is seeking to expand its manufacturing capacity.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Assembly Supervisor’s main duties are:

  • Supervise sub-assembly and assembly department
  • Train, supervise, and coordinate both full and part-time workers
  • Enhance and improve production data collection
  • Assist Director of Operations in developing long-term plans for the department
  • Assess manpower requirements for department
  • Maintain good inventory control policies and procedures

Skills needed to be successful are:

  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good interpersonal and motivational skills
  • An understanding of enterprise resource planning software (ERP)
  • Regulatory knowledge (ISO, FDA, etc.) desirable

Requisites:

  • 5+ years experience in electronic production and supervision
  • Self-starter
  • Associates Degree or better in technical or management area

Computer Support Technician

(Test and Service Department)

KayPENTAX, a division of PENTAX Medical Company, is the World Leader in Speech, Voice, and Swallowing Instrumentation. KayPENTAX produces medical instruments and instrumentation that are electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer based.  Its largest product lines are customized and assembled-to-order systems.  It also has a line of make to stock products.  Because of double digit growth in sales and profits over past 3 years, KayPENTAX is seeking to expand its manufacturing capacity.

The Computer Support Technician will report to the Production Engineer and the Technical Service Manager.  The Computer Support Technician’s main duties are:

  • Build and test custom computers for medical applications
  • Troubleshoot hardware failures computers
  • Repair customer computers returned for service
  • Provide phone support for routine problems

Skills needed to be successful:

  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Good interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Regulatory knowledge (ISO, FDA, etc.) desirable

Requisites:

  • Certificate or AS or BS degree in a computer-related curriculum
  • Self-starter
  • Experience in electronic service, technical support, and/or manufacturing desirable

Test Technician

(Test and Service Department)

The Test Technician will report to the Production Manager.  The Test Technician’s main duties are:

  • Test custom computers and electro-mechanical instruments for medical applications
  • Adjust instruments to product specifications
  • Troubleshoot hardware failures in computers and instruments
  • Repair customer owned products returned for service
  • Provide phone support for routine problems

Skills needed to be successful:

  • Good communication skills
  • Computer and electronic Skills
  • Good interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Regulatory knowledge (ISO, FDA, etc.) desirable

Requisites:

  • Certificate or AS or BS degree in an electronic or computer-related curriculum
  • Self-starter
  • Experience in electronic service, technical support, and/or manufacturing desirable

Production Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Engineer’s main duties are:

  • Manage final test department
  • Evaluate and improve test processes
  • Improve manufacturing processes and methods throughout the entire factory
  • Enhance and improve all manufacturing data collection
  • Develop strategy for test procedures in final test and assembly departments
  • Chief liaison between R&D, manufacturing and technical service
  • Assist service manager in root cause failure analysis and corrective actions

 Skills needed to be successful are:

  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office, MAS90)
  • Good interpersonal and motivational skills
  • An understanding of enterprise resource planning software (ERP)
  • Regulatory knowledge (ISO, FDA, etc.) desirable

Requisites:

  • BS degree in engineering (ME, IE, EE)
  • Self-starter
  • 5+ years experience in electronic production

Technical Service Manager

  • Manage technical service department
  • Evaluate and improve repair and support processes
  • Enhance and improve service data collection
  • Develop a profit center strategy for technical service group
  • Implement a service center solution for common and repetitive service inquiries
  • Analyze root cause failures for Design or Production improvements

Skills needed to be successful are:

  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office, ACT!, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal and motivational skills
  • An understanding of knowledge based software for phone support solutions
  • Regulatory knowledge (ISO, FDA, etc.) desirable

Requisites:

  • AS or BS degree in engineering, quality, or management
  • Self-starter
  • 5+ years experience in electronic service, technical support, manufacturing or engineering
