An Innovative Network Solution for Viewing Endoscopic Recordings

KayPENTAX is pleased to introduce endoPortal™, a streaming video portal hardware/software platform that enables clinicians to view videoendoscopic exams (stroboscopic, TNE, etc.) in their offices, in clinic conference rooms, throughout the hospital, or even at home, via secure network access (VPN compatible). endoPortal is a cost-effective complement to KayPENTAX digital recording technology for endoscopic procedures.

endoPortal hardware connects directly to a network switch (i.e., router) in an existing hospital LAN and interfaces to one, or multiple, KayPENTAX digital recording systems (i.e., KayPENTAX’s latest Digital Video Capture Module, Model 9200C). Once a procedure is recorded, the clinician can access the exam databases in each exam room with the innovative endoPortal software and play these exams in high-quality streaming video (MPEG-4 format); alternatively, data can be quickly uploaded for playback in the native DV format of the Digital Strobe. DV format offers zero loss from the excellent image quality of the original exam as well as a superior editable format. In addition to video, clinicians can view stills and selected report information associated with the exam.

The combination of features in endoPortal and the Digital Strobe provides the most versatile and feature-rich digital video acquisition and viewing solution available to otolaryngologists, speech pathologists, and voice scientists.
