Games, Model 5167

The Games Program for Multi-Speech and CSL provides a rich graphical environment for engaging biofeedback to help motivate and stimulate children in speech therapy.

These games provide biofeedback on specific tasks. for example, one game lets the client pilot an airplane by changing his, or her, pitch; another provides feedback for appropriate loudness.

Interactive

Kay's Games Program takes advantage of sophisticated DirectX and DirectSound technology included with Windows 98 to provide real-time interactive graphics with sound effects. The high-resolution images provide an engaging environment to help keep clients interested and motivated to stay on task.

The games, which focus on voicing, timing, pitch level and control, and amplitude control, include ten different graphic environments appropriate for both boys and girls across a broad age range. The games are highly customizable by the clinician.

The clinician can actually move the graphic
components or change the degree of difficulty of each game by adjusting the threshold of the selected parameter (e.g., pitch range).

Summary

The Games Program option complements Kay's other biofeedback programs (e.g., Real-Time Pitch, Real-Time Spectrogram, and Sona-Match) by providing a visually and aurally appealing speech therapy tool that is fun and effective for children.
